Task 4

Task 4
These days every family has mass media like T.V., radio and newspaper. Of course that affects their behaviors. However, also people affect each other. In this essay I am going to write about my agreement on which has more influence media or people.

Actually, media could affect our behavior via movies and programs on T.V. It may affect us and teach us good behaviors and bad behaviors. For example, some programs show films about cultures, so we can have more knowledge about the world, and histories, we can have a background about the past. The benefit of that is to increase our life experience. On the other hand, media may affect us badly. As I said, the media teaches us about other culture, but some cultures don't agree with our religion, and our religion teaches us some things and that culture teaches us unlike the religion. So the most important influence is on the collision between media and religion.

Although I don't agree with some points also I agree with other points. In fact there are many good influences in our life via media. There are nice programs on T.V. that teach us and give us new information like international geography programs. So we have to know what are the benefits of media and what are the bad, to save our ideas and make them better.

In conclusion, I think media is not the best way to learn from, however it has good things. People around us are the way to learn, especially from parents and family.

TASK 2

TASK 2

Many people today move to a new country or city, and that's for many and different reasons. Maybe they face challenges and problems, so the problems need solutions. In this essay you find some of the problems and solutions.
Actually, there are many challenges when someone moves to a new country. The first challenge is that each country has its own culture, so of course they will live with a different culture than their original country. For example, in U.A.E we find that women can drive a car whereas K.S.A not, and that difficult for foreign women. Yet another challenge is that the weather is different, we know that in U.K. the temperature in summer may not increase above twenty two, but in the U.A.E it's up to fifty degrees. One more important challenge is homesickness. I think this is one of the biggest problems, because the person who moves to a new country has family, relatives and friends, and he will miss them.
Although there are many challenges and problems also there are many solutions to them. The first one is the culture, so anyone who travels should learn about their culture, through asking people like other foreigners about lifestyle, foods and behavior. Yet another solution for the weather problem is that you have to know that you have to change your lifestyle. For example, if you live in a country which has cool weather, and you will come to U.A.E, of course you must change your lifestyle partly. The solution for homesickness is that you can keep contract with your family and friends by phone and social networks.
In conclusion, I think there are many challenges. However,  also there are many solutions. I advise anyone wants to move to another country, to think clearly and know what consequences he may have.

Task 1

Portfolio Task 1

These graphs show the number of people who attended cinemas in Britain and Australia from 1980 to 2000.
As we can see in the bar chart, 78% of the films shown in British came from US, whereas 68% came from Australia. Also the chart shows that n films from Australia are shown in British, and 10 % of films sown in Australia were Australian.
The line graph clearly shows the number of people who attended British and Australia cinemas between 1980 and 2000. At the first, in 1980 the number of British people who attended was 100 million. Then next there was a dramatic drop in the number of people between 1980 and 1982 from 100 million to 50 million. After that throughout the period 1982 to 1988 the number fluctuated. Then it increased through next 12 years to 150 million. The Australia line started with 40 million of people in 1980. Then it decreased slightly from 40 million to 20 million. After that the number of people increased slowly through next 18 years to 90 million.
In conclusion, the highest number of people who attended cinemas in Britain was 150 million in 2000, and 90 million in Australia.
